XAG X-Series Agricultural Drone Launch in Guangzhou and Yunnan

The XAG X-Series agricultural drone represents a new generation of autonomous technology designed to transform professional farming operations.

The Agrifuture team participated in the XAG New Product Launch and Global Partner Conference 2026 in China, where XAG unveiled the new XAG X-Series — an ag drone robot set to redefine field operations.

This is not just the next model of an ag drone, nor simply an update to an existing platform. The X-Series introduces a new workflow: the drone no longer just flies and applies treatments—it manages significant parts of the mission autonomously.

Operators set the task, load water and chemicals, and the system takes over: completing the mission, returning to the station, recharging, refilling, self-cleaning, and continuing operations. XAG calls this Agriculture 3.0 — where automation moves from autonomous flight to autonomous execution of the full operational cycle.

The X-Series system integrates three key components:

X150 Ag Drone / Robot — A new-generation ag drone with upgraded computing, 4D Imaging Radar, 360° camera, weather monitoring module, new Mist nozzles (10-micron droplets), and a Flash Charge battery that charges from 15% to 90% in ~3.5 minutes, rated for up to 4,000 cycles.

XA1 Ag Drone Airport — An autonomous field station with a local server, dual-antenna RTK, proximity positioning module, and self-cleaning system. This is more than a landing pad; it forms the foundation for stationary drone hubs on intensive farms, demo fields, and large-scale agricultural operations.

LM1 Smart Liquid Mixing System— Capable of servicing up to eight chemical tanks, this system enables automated mixing, refilling, and preparation of working solutions with minimal manual intervention.

The main shift here is clear: the ag drone market is moving beyond the old “drone + crew + trailer + manual logistics” model. The X-Series architecture offers a new model: one operator, multiple stations, fewer downtime periods, automated between-mission maintenance, and continuous operation across large areas.

This transforms not only technical capabilities but the workflow itself. In the future, farmers, dealers, and service operators will compete not just on drone performance, but on their ability to manage autonomous field infrastructure efficiently.

Such innovations will impact drone trailer design, mobile service units, placement of stationary hubs, and operations on intensive farms and demo fields. With BVLOS operations advancing, agricultural services can scale across large territories with minimal on-site presence.

The Agrifuture team clearly sees the trajectory of the ag robotics sector. Solutions like these are shaping the future of precision agriculture infrastructure: autonomous field stations, robotic ag drones, automated liquid logistics, fast charging, reduced manual labor, and full control at every stage of operations.

For international markets, the XAG X-Series will be available later. But it’s already clear: launches like this are prompting the industry to think differently.
